Alison Donnithorne-Tait MA brings many talents to VM.  She has a well proven track record in property management, development and trading, in addition to long experience in studying and reporting on markets.  She started her interest in wines at Cambridge University, where she studied Classics.  With her background in Greek and Roman history, language and culture, Alison was the inspiration behind the Amphora brand and she played a major part in establishing the wine  business unit.  Alison recently won a Sussex Heritage Award for her sensational conversion of a derelict farmyard into a modern garden.  An experienced company director, Alison is responsible for developing VM’s business, including marketing and the selection of new products and services.

Dewar Donnithorne-Tait MA, MBA, FRAeS, FIoD has studied and enjoyed wines since his late teens.  He has wide-ranging business and technology management experience and is internationally recognised in his fields of expertise.  Dewar established Adfingo in 2000 and then took over as managing Director of Veitch Moir at the start of 2002 and implemented a restructuring of the Company into business units.  He established Amphora in 2003 as a result of his passion for wines.  He seeks to supply ‘interesting’ wines with best value and excellent service.   He enjoys all types of wine, but is deeply engaged with the extraordinary progress of the wines of Languedoc and Roussillon, where he and his wife, Alison, have had their long term home for 30 years.
